About
Sarah Gallant has been a practicing speech-language pathologist since 2011. Her career has spanned healthcare (inpatient and outpatient settings), education (public and private school settings), and private practice. She has worked in the neuro-rehabilitation (cognitive-communication, aphasia, Apraxia of Speech), dysphagia (swallowing and feeding disorders), speech sound disorders (articulation and phonology) and neuromuscular disorders. She has completed specialized training in orofacial myology, which is at the core of Sarah’s approach to all therapy. Orofacial myology focuses on the muscular strength and function of the face and tongue muscles. When there are areas of weakness in the facial or oral muscles, they can impact speech, swallowing and breathing. If these weak areas are not addressed, they can develop into articulation disorders, sleep apnea, and can impact a person’s cognitive and communication skills. Sarah takes a wholistic approach to her therapy to ensure long-term improvements in ways that are meaningful to each individual.
Sarah is ASHA-certified (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and licensed to practice in Idaho, Montana, Utah and Colorado.
